Here are the steps:
- Access cPanel
- Open Softaculous
- Back up WordPress
Step 1. Access cPanel
Log in to your SiteGround account. Under the Websites tab, click cPanel.
Step 2. Open Softaculous
In cPanel, go to the AutoInstallers section and select Softaculous.
Select Installations from the options and then click the Backup icon next to the domain you want to back up.
Step 3. Back up WordPress
Enter a backup note for quick reference and be sure to include the directory and database in the backup.
- Directory – If you check this the entire folder will be backed up.
- Database – If checked the database will also be backed up.
- Note – You can save a note for your reference.
- Location – Choose the backup location where you would like to store the backup.
Once you’re done, click Backup Installation to start backing up.
At this point, you can either wait for the backup process to complete or leave the page if you wish.
Once it’s done, you will see a successful confirmation message.
To view your recently created backup, click Backups.
On the Backups and Restore page, you can download, restore, or delete any created backup.
